WYN: your energy, your attention to details and love for yourself
I love this day! I know I say that often… I mean, I love all the days, because I built them with all my love for you to get the best results in your movement practice.
We often think of meditation as a sitting, quiet practice that is separated from our daily life. That is a great way to learn it, but a bit sad if it never integrates into your everyday waking walking life. My hope today is that we bring your dancing practice closer to an ever-lasting meditation, which only means: aware and in the present.

Welcome to Day 26
WYN: INSPIRATION!!!
You might not, but I hope you LOVE today and the process that goes with it. We did all this work, mapping phrases, details, learning how to hit accents and now we are ready to create our own line dance. It does not have to be west coast swingable or attach to anything else except what you are hearing in the music.
I am teaching you an easy version I built which can be the one you practice and film, especially if all the mapping was new to you and it still feels a bit muddle; but! make sure you understand what we are doing, to what sound and why!
If you would like to venture out and create your own line dance to the same song, to a different one, maybe even a partner choreography if you have that option, you have until the 30th of march to post your video under today’s thread.
I can not wait to see what you come up with. The sillier, the better. 😉

Welcome to Day 27
WYN: your smile, lots of imagination
Wow! Can you believe you have made it so far? You only have 2 days left with me next week… I am a little sad. I hope you are not sick of me yet!
Today, we use imagery which is an amazing tool for movement. There are so many ways to use it and today we will use a mental idea to find new pathways in our body. Remember, I go fast through explorations: keep working on it after the video… and forever… or anytime you feel stuck and need inspiration.

Welcome to Day 29
WYN: your last bit of motivation
Going back full circle today: we are doing a final check-up for technique. The idea is to see if anything feels different now then what it felt like on our first day together. You might be able to put all the pieces together faster, you might be more aware of your body, you might feel like shit… Remember to be kind to yourself: you have now trained and put new information in your brain everyday for the last month. That is intense. It is possible that you need some integration time.
What I would like you to take away from today is the ability to know what you need to go back to and work on. One month ago, it might have been hard to even know what was off in your motion, I believe you now have enough tools to understand it and find the solution for yourself. Obviously, I can not do the practice for you, so that part is on you and the commitment you keep doing to yourself every day, every week, every year. It does not have to be perfect, it just needs to be consistent.

Can you believe you have made it to the end of the challenge? This is your chance to wrap things up and see how all the explorations we did feel inside of your basics. I know there are a couple people with us who are not west coast swing dancers. That is completely fine: take those explorations and see if you can integrate them to your practice whether it is salsa, Yoga, Pilates, Pole Dance.
I hope you have enjoyed this time with me and, please, re-visit the videos: there is so much information in all of them and so little time drilling it, it will be good for you to dive back and see what more understanding you can get out of it and if the movement integrates better after a few times.
Remember: JOIN US tomorrow for the last live where we’ll chat a bit and announce the 3 winners of the challenge.
