Welcome to Day 13
WYN: a space… that is not a typical dance space (an office, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, the kids walking around)
I love today. We often feel like we need the specific space and time to dance or do a drill, but honestly for me life is an excuse to dance, move and just enjoy my body. I have a tattoo on my forearm that says: This is the absolute truth. And it has many meanings, ironically, I love words so much and I thought that was the only thing I could tattoo on my body that would always be true because it could change meaning as it went. One of the main reasons I have it tough, is that it’s on my skin, my body, and I thought: there are two types of beliefs, some people think we die and the soul lives on, some people think we die and it is the end of all. In any case, we all agree that after this life, the body dies.
Yes, let that sink in. It is literally the one special thing that connects us through this physical thing we are in. Obviously, I am not saying that my way of exploring it should be everybody’s way, I am just saying: enjoy it!

Welcome to Day 15
WYN: maybe a wall, shoes you want to be good at turning with 😉
Hi beautiful people, you have made it to the third week. Congratulations! I am sending you kisses and good energy to continue.
Today is another really condensed video, so you all have the opportunity to do it. But if this is all new and intense, I suggest you take it in pieces. Can I do the spot well? Is my posture solid? Can I do my quarter turn in place? Then try the walking turns or maybe not, maybe you stay with the first drills. I want you to keep in mind: the position of the free leg doesn’t matter, as long as you are turning first from your standing leg, keeping your turn out, knowing how much you are going to turn and then deciding what the free leg wants to do and where it wants to go.
If you already know all these drills, let’s be honest… we all need to practice them more.

Alright strong and beautiful people. Today is cardio, I called it speed round because that is one of the pieces that will help you get faster and who doesn’t want speed lightning footwork to dance to Scatman???
I had a couple issues with my timer for some reason, but do not fear: you are getting the same amount of workout that was planned for!

Hey beautiful people. This is a turning point. About just past half-way through, we tend to lack motivation, our energy is low and suddenly we have lost a bit of the starting enthusiasm. We can’t see the end! It is called the half way slump, you can read about it online through different context. So interesting how the mind works. Well, you are not alone: I was so tired this morning I could not even stand on two feet, I look drunk! Ahaha! All I can say is: keep pushing. You can do this. You have it in you.
Today’s class is about footwork and I am bringing you some classic variations explained in a simple way and a fun variation just for you to let loose. Do not get to stuck on the details, find you groove, enjoy and come back to it in a more serious way later if that is what you wish to do.

So, enjoy this session, find a quiet place (if the only place you can be by yourself is the bathroom, so be it) use it as a moment to reconnect to yourself and allow your body to sink in deeply, the floor to support you and your breath to bring motion.
